Scott Ozer is a veteran financial advisor, having earned his FINRA Series 7 Securities License in 1981. His long history includes hosting one of the first radio financial call in shows in 1988, “MONEY MATTERS,” on radio station KIEV 870 in Pasadena, California.
A key to his investment philosophy is to buy the company and not the stock price, and to focus on the business and not market movements. He seeks out industry leaders, participates in conference calls and reaches out to management to better understand the companies he recommends. Mr. Ozer often points out to his clients that when he was first licensed in 1981, “It was not unusual to hold shares of a company for several years, and that has now dropped to less than 12 months. Why would I give up the potential value of long term tax treatment?”
