Alfred S. Vanderlaan has had a distinguished career in the securities industry, helping clients build their personal wealth for more than 30 years. He grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Agronomy and Business. He continued working in the farming industry, even managing a farmers coop. While working closely with farmers, he noticed that the successful farmers simply did not know what to do with their profits besides reinvesting them into the farm, which oftentimes wasn’t the best use of funds and could even cost them when tax time came. Mr. Vanderlaan began researching the securities industry, and in 1979 became a licensed registered representative. He then began offering his investment expertise to friends and family. His accomplishments became more widely known throughout the community, and Mr. Vanderlaan was able to broaden his reach.
Today, Mr. Vanderlaan provides financial advice to more than 100 clients while remaining actively involved in the farming community.
