Mark Reinstein is president of SANDLAPPER Securities, LLC (Member FINRA/SIPC) and Sandlapper Wealth Management, LLC. His responsibilities include expanding the firms, interacting with current advisors, and managing portfolios for his clients.
Mr. Reinstein became interested in the financial markets in college while earning his BBA from the University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business in 1984. He began his career in the securities industry in 1986 and has held sales positions at two of the largest firms on Wall Street, Bear Stearns and Paine Webber, as well as executive positions at boutique and independent firms.
In 2001 he realized he could help his clients better fulfill their financial goals if he were an independent advisor. He acted upon the opportunity to lead Colony Park Financial as President and built the firm from the ground up. Under his leadership, Colony Park grew as a traditional wealth management firm. Colony Park and its independent reps and advisors were very successful focusing on building customized portfolios for their clients utilizing long established market-correlated investments.
As the financial industry transformed, Mr. Reinstein wanted to expand the business and a meeting with Trevor Gordon and Jack Bixler, the principals of Sandlapper Wealth Management, LLC (SWM) presented the right opportunity. They correctly concluded that combining the two companies would produce dramatic synergies and economies of scale. The acquisition of Colony Park by SWM in 2014 now offers the advisors and registered representatives of SANDLAPPER Securities a much broader array of investment opportunities to meet their clients’ investment goals. Mr. Reinstein assumed the role of President for both Sandlapper Wealth Management, LLC and broker dealer affiliate SANDLAPPER Securities, LL. The firms are experiencing rapid growth by focusing on building and expanding relationships with its clients and its independent advisors throughout the country.
Mr. Reinstein is very active in the Greenville community through his involvement with his church, his children’s schools and several charities including The Greenville Area Parkinson’s Society, The Center for Developmental Services, and United Way, as well as being a past mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
Mr. Reinstein currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 24, 66, 4, and 28 licenses as well as several state insurance licenses.
