Ilya Falkovich started his career at Alliance Bernstein as a Senior Performance Analyst and also worked with Bear Stearns, where he worked with derivatives traders as a Middle Office Associate supporting the IG, HY, EM singlename and the CDX Index flow trading desks.
After the dissolution of Bear Stearns in 2008, Mr. Falkovich moved into a similar Middle Office role at RBS and was promoted to the role of Credit Trader on the Credit Flow trading desk. His duties included multiple daily market runs, relative value fixed income swap trades, and intraday and end of day market commentary in various fixed income sectors. Mr. Falkovich developed relationships and provided market color and trade ideas to large institutional accounts including but not limited to pension funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, endowment funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds. Trade ideas were also presented to the sales force to maximize their performance while managing the associated risk frame work and increasing profitability. Mr. Falkovich priced and executed multiple index arbitrage trades, strategic macro trades including equity futures, CDX indices, options, European/Asian CDS and indices, U.S. cash and CDS singlenames, U.S./European Treasuries, structured derivatives and a variety of other products. He was also responsible for designing business plans and strategies as a new revenue stream for trading corporate bond indices and related ETFs including, but not limited to, HYG, LQD, SJB, UJB, IGS, and IGU.
Mr. Falkovich graduated from Columbia University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
